TESTIMONALS

A relaxing and friendly place to stay!

It is a lovely looking property which is well maintained. The motel rooms are clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. Breakfast was part of the deal and it was very tasy and extremely good value for money. We also dined at the restaurant on both nights. The meals were hearty and well complimented by local wines. There are some nice local walks and some great historical sites in the area and the Mudgee wineries are only an hour away.

A little gem!

My partner and I happened across this great spot by accident. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was a problem. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and our host John very helpful. We will definitely return!

Hill End Lodge is the jewel in the Hill End crown.

My husband and I only left yesterday and want to return. We are experienced Hill End visitors and have stayed in a variety of places here, but this was the best so far. Staff are excellent and friendly, accommodation was excellent, roomy and lovely and food was also excellently fantastic. Gardens are amazing. We could not have had a better stay and are already planning our next trip and will definately stay here again and again.

Rustic Treasure!

My husband & I stayed at the Hillend Lodge on the 10/9/11 & from the moment we set foot in the place you could feel yourself totally unwinding & relaxing. Hillend Lodge is just out of town, with hectares of beautifully maintained lawns & gardens. The rock walls alone, took the owners a year to complete. We were blown away with the hospitality we were shown while we were there, nothing being too much trouble for the owners. The rooms are spotlessly clean, with an added touch of a camellia placed on the bath towels. There is no need to venture into town, as there is a fully licenced restaurant, offering a delicious selection of homemade cakes & biscuits. Try the Devonshire Tea or coffee for afternoon tea. We went to the restaurant for dinner, & while it took a while to be served, it was worth the wait. There is a small but varied menu, with Morroccan stews, hot soups & cutlets to name a few on offer. Desserts are absolutely decadent. The owners do all the cooking, with everything made with love, & it shows. We will certainly be back, but will be staying longer! Where else can you look out your window & see kangaroos grazing on the lawn!!
